First, I would like to thank you for all the wonderful messages in the past few months. The support you showed me after I quit beauty blogging and started to share more of my actual work (prints, illustrations, and embroidery) was overwhelming.
So thank you!
I received so many messages about embroidery and working as a print designer that I decided to write a blog about it. Who knew that after all this time, I will be blogging again ;)
Let's start at the beginning.
WHY DID I QUIT BEAUTY BLOGGING?
Some of you were surprised to see that my website changed from a beauty blog to an embroidery and print shop. Closing down my blog was a hard decision because I loved writing about beauty, trying it out, and giving you advice on what to buy. I got to work with many amazing brands, I met some of the most marvellous people, and I'm not gonna lie - it was also a good income.
But at the end of the day, it wasn't making me happy anymore. I struggled every time I had to write a blog post, and what was once bringing me joy was now bringing me down. Because of that, and because I didn't want to provide lousy content, I decided to quit beauty blogging. To be honest - it is much harder to justify buying the expensive makeup now :)
WHY EMBROIDERY AND PRINT DESIGN?
Because that is what I do. I'm an embroiderer and a freelance print designer. On most days you will find me stitching, designing surface patterns, and illustrating.
WHAT WILL YOU FIND ON THIS BLOG?
I’ve been doing this for quite a while now. I had ups and downs, I made mistakes and tried a lot of techniques. Some worked, others did not. I will share with you my tips and tricks on embroidery, pattern design, selling your designs, what print on demand sites are good (and which are a no, no), and much more. Hopefully, each blog post will answer some of the questions I get daily. And if you have any just send me an email or dm on Instagram :)
